Water Kettle

Guest-safe instructions for using the AB-K705MNUC electric glass and steel kettle at Perch in the Clouds.

Operating Instructions

  1. Open the lid and fill with water only between the MIN and MAX marks.
  2. Close the lid firmly and place the kettle fully on its base.
  3. Press the power switch down to boil.
  4. Wait for automatic shutoff before pouring.
  5. Leave the kettle empty or with clean water only.

Have a problem?

  • Kettle will not turn on
    1. Confirm the kettle is seated flat on the base.
    2. Confirm the plug is fully in the outlet.
    3. Lift the kettle, set the switch back to Off if needed, place it back on the base, and try once.
    4. If it still does not heat, contact your host.
  • Kettle shuts off early or does not boil
    1. Make sure the lid is fully closed.
    2. Confirm there is enough water in the kettle.
    3. Let the kettle cool for a few minutes, then try once more.
    4. Contact your host if it repeats.
  • White flakes or mineral scale appear
    1. Do not drink water with visible flakes if it concerns you.
    2. Rinse the kettle with fresh water.
    3. Contact your host so it can be cleaned and descaled.
  • Milk, cider, soup, or another liquid was heated in the kettle
    1. Turn the kettle off and unplug it.
    2. Do not keep heating the liquid.
    3. Contact your host so the kettle can be cleaned safely.
