Cuisinart 4-Slice Toaster

Operating Instructions

  1. Place bread, bagels, frozen waffles, pastries, or French toast in the extra-wide slots.
  2. Use the left and right control panels separately if different people want different browning levels.
  3. Turn the browning dial to a lower number for lighter toast or a higher number for darker toast.
  4. Press Bagel for bagels, Defrost for frozen items, Reheat for warming already-toasted food, or Cancel to stop early.
  5. Lower the lever and stay nearby while the toaster is heating.
  6. Use the high-lift lever to raise small items; do not put fingers, forks, knives, or metal tools into the slots.

Have a problem?

  • Toast is too light, too dark, or uneven
    1. Use a lower browning number for lighter toast or a higher number for darker toast.
    2. Use the same bread type and thickness on the same side when possible.
    3. Cancel early if it looks too dark.
  • Lever will not stay down
    1. Confirm the toaster is plugged in.
    2. Press Cancel, let it cool, and make sure no bread or crumbs are blocking the slot.
    3. Do not force the lever; contact your host if it still will not stay down.
  • Bagel, Defrost, or Reheat button does not seem to work
    1. Press the function button after lowering the lever and check that the indicator light is on.
    2. Use Cancel and restart if you pressed the wrong function.
    3. Contact your host if the button will not light.
  • Item is stuck in the slot
    1. Press Cancel and unplug the toaster.
    2. Let it cool completely.
    3. Use the high-lift lever and gently shake only if safe.
    4. Do not insert metal tools; contact your host if stuck.
  • Smoke or burning smell
    1. Press Cancel and unplug the toaster if safe.
    2. Let it cool.
    3. Do not use again until crumbs or stuck food are removed.
  • Exterior feels hot
    1. Do not touch the metal sides while toasting.
    2. Keep children and flammable items away from the toaster.
    3. Let it cool before moving.
