Whirlpool Microwave Oven (WMCS7022RS00)

Operating Instructions

  1. Use only microwave-safe dishes.
  2. Cover food loosely and vent the cover to reduce splatter.
  3. Enter the cook time or select a preset, then press Start.
  4. Use oven mitts for hot dishes and steam.
  5. Wipe spills after the microwave cools.

Have a problem?

  • Microwave will not start
    1. Confirm the door is fully closed.
    2. Press Stop/Unlock once, then enter the cook time again.
    3. If the display shows a lock or controls do not respond, press and hold Stop/Unlock for 3 seconds.
    4. Contact your host if it still will not start.
  • Microwave runs but food does not heat
    1. Confirm the container is microwave-safe and food is inside.
    2. Try one short cook cycle with a cup of water.
    3. If it still does not heat, stop using the microwave and contact your host.
  • Sparks, popping, or metal inside
    1. Press Stop/Unlock immediately.
    2. Remove any metal, foil, twist ties, travel mugs, or dishes with metallic trim after it is safe.
    3. Do not restart if the microwave looks damaged or sparks repeat; contact your host.
  • Food splatters, boils over, or smells burnt
    1. Press Stop/Unlock and let the container cool before removing it.
    2. Wipe spills after the microwave is cool.
    3. Use shorter cook times and cover food loosely next time.
    4. Contact your host if a burnt smell remains or the microwave is dirty inside.
  • You are heating sealed food, eggs, or closed containers
    1. Do not microwave whole eggs in shells, sealed jars, sealed packages, or closed containers.
    2. Vent containers before heating.
    3. When in doubt, use the stove or oven instead.
