LG Front Load Washer (WM8900HBA)

Operating Instructions

  1. Load laundry loosely and do not pack the drum; mix large and small items when possible.
  2. Use high-efficiency detergent only and do not exceed the dispenser markings.
  3. Close the door firmly, press Power, and select Normal or a cycle that matches the fabric label.
  4. Press Start/Pause to begin the wash cycle.
  5. Wait for the door-lock light to turn off before opening the door.
  6. After use, remove laundry promptly and leave the door slightly open so the drum can dry.

Have a problem?

  • Door is locked or will not open
    1. Press Start/Pause and wait for the washer to stop.
    2. Wait for the door-lock light to turn off before pulling the door.
    3. If water is visible in the drum, do not force the door; contact your host.
    4. If the cycle has finished but the door still will not open, contact your host.
  • Washer shows IE / inlet error or does not fill
    1. Pause the washer and confirm the door is closed.
    2. Do not move the washer or touch water valves.
    3. Contact your host if the washer does not fill normally.
  • Washer shows UE / unbalance error or will not spin
    1. Pause the washer and wait for the door to unlock.
    2. Redistribute bulky items evenly or add a few similar-weight items if the load is very small.
    3. Close the door and press Start/Pause once.
    4. Contact your host if the code returns.
  • Washer smells musty or drum stays wet
    1. Remove laundry promptly after the cycle finishes.
    2. Leave the door slightly open after use so air can circulate.
    3. Contact your host if odor is strong or water remains in the drum.
  • Steam cycle is hot or door remains locked
    1. Do not touch the glass during steam cycles.
    2. Wait for the door lock to release before opening.
    3. Do not try to override the lock or reach into the washer during steam.
