Operating Instructions
- Choose Bake, Broil, or the needed cooking mode.
- Set the temperature and wait for preheat if the recipe requires it.
- Use oven-safe cookware only.
- Use oven mitts around racks, pans, and the door.
- Turn the oven and all burners Off before leaving the kitchen.
Have a problem?
- You smell gas
- Do not light burners, press oven controls, or use electrical switches.
- Leave the kitchen area and contact your host immediately.
- If the smell is strong or you feel unsafe, leave the house and call 911 or the gas utility.
- Oven does not heat
- Confirm the oven door is fully closed.
- Press Cancel, then set Bake and Start once more.
- If the oven still does not heat, stop using it and contact your host.
- Food is not cooking evenly
- Allow the oven to preheat fully.
- Keep pans centered with space around them for airflow.
- Avoid opening the oven door repeatedly while cooking.
- Use the middle rack unless the recipe says otherwise.
- Smoke or burning smell during cooking
- Press Cancel and keep the oven door closed if safe to do so.
- Turn on the kitchen vent if available.
- Let the oven cool before anyone wipes spills.
- Contact your host if smoke continues or food spilled heavily.
- Broiler drawer or lower area is very hot
- Assume the broiler drawer and lower oven area are hot during and after oven use.
- Use oven mitts and keep children away.
- Do not store plastic, towels, paper, or other items in the broiler drawer.
