Operating Instructions
- Use the iron only on an ironing board or stable heat-resistant surface.
- Check the clothing care label and start with the lowest safe heat setting for the fabric.
- If using steam or spray mist, unplug the iron first, open the water-fill cover near the front/top of the iron, and fill the translucent tank with ordinary tap water only up to the max line.
- Close the water-fill cover before plugging the iron in.
- Turn the fabric/temperature dial to the fabric you are ironing; the SmartSteam feature adjusts steam based on the heat setting.
- Plug in the iron and let it heat for about 90 seconds before ironing.
- Use the spray mist button only when you want to lightly dampen a wrinkled spot.
- Iron carefully, keeping the hot soleplate away from skin, cords, furniture, carpet, bedding, and towels.
- When finished, turn the temperature dial to the lowest/off position and unplug the iron.
- Stand the iron upright on its heel and let it cool completely before putting it away.
Have a problem?
- Iron shuts off while you are using it
- The iron has automatic shutoff for safety.
- Move the iron gently to wake it, then wait briefly for it to reheat.
- The indicator light may blink while auto shutoff is active.
- If it will not reheat, unplug it and contact your host.
- Water leaks or spits from the iron
- Stop ironing and stand the iron upright.
- Make sure the fabric dial is set high enough for steam; very low heat can cause dripping.
- Do not overfill the translucent water tank.
- Let the iron heat fully before using steam or spray mist again.
- If leaking continues, unplug the iron and contact your host.
- Fabric sticks, scorches, or gets shiny
- Stop immediately and lift the iron away from the fabric.
- Lower the heat setting and test on an inside seam before continuing.
- Use a towel or pressing cloth for delicate fabrics.
- Contact your host if the soleplate has residue on it.
- Iron may have been left hot or plugged in
- Do not touch the soleplate.
- Turn the dial to the lowest/off position and unplug the iron by the plug, not the cord.
- Stand it upright on a heat-safe surface and let it cool completely.
- Keep children away until it is cool.
- Cord, plug, or iron looks damaged
- Do not use the iron.
- Unplug it if safe to do so.
- Contact your host for a replacement.
